This month I’m sure to be adding some more wrinkles to the collection as I turn 38! How the eff did that happen? Proof indeed that life is what happens whilst you’re busy making other plans.
Anyway, to soften the blow a little here are some of the things I’m hoping the birthday bunny will gift me with…
Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger Liqueur
I tried this gin on a night out with a lovely mummy friend and instantly adored it. It’s like a boozy pudding in a glass, which is a winner in my book.
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm with Cleansing Cloth
To quote Brummy Mummy of 2, YouTube made me buy it (or at least add it to a previous birthday list). I tried it. I loved it. My skin loved it. I’ve tried to find a cheaper dupe since. I can’t. I need this in my life! It’s creamy, it smells amazing and it removes every scrap of make-up and moisturises your skin without leaving it greasy. It literally is amazing!
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Original Travel Size
I really want to get back to wearing liquid eye liner again (I’m not sure if it’s an age thing but I feel like my eyes just disappear without it these days, which they never used to) and with my shiny skin I need something to keep it in place. I’ve used this fab eye primer before and need some more.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow palette, Naked 2
Another well-worn favourite. I’ve ‘hit pan’ on so many shades that my old palette really needs replacing.
Waitrose Pure Natural Face Wash
A birthday stocking filler, if you will. I purchased this on a whim a few months back as I needed a new facewash and didn’t want to spend too much (this only costs £2). This stuff is brilliant. So gentle, so cleansing. For me, face wash perfection.
Benefit The POREfessional Primer
A staple in my make-up bag to hide those pesky pores and help to keep make-up in place. I got one for Christmas which has been well-used, time to hopefully get one to keep in stock.
Elemis Frangipani Monoi shower cream
I’d forgotten all about this stuff but the memory of its amazing heady floral scent floated through my mind as I was compiling this wishlist. Just gorgeous. Definitely a shower cream to keep for best for those rare indulgent Sunday showers when Mr H is on parenting duties.
Healthy chocolate that tastes amazing? Yes please! Ombar is made from organic cacao and includes gut-loving healthy probiotics. I discovered it at Ocado and find it’s one of the only raw chocolate bars that I can eat without feeling as though I’m compromising taste for health.
Staedtler Medium Rainbow Ballpoint Assorted Pens
Red and yellow and pink and green… you get the idea. Being a working mummy and blogger and all my other ‘ands’ means lots and lots of list making. Lists are better when written in all sorts of different colours. The shades of these pens are brilliant and they are lovely to grip and write beautifully. I have some already but they’re fast running out and I need more to keep my technicolour to do lists alive.
